Submitting articles: Submit your completed work in the body of an email (we do not open attachments) in plain text format — not HTML — to feedback=at=sheknowsllc.com.

Changes/corrections: If you send your article and find there is a need for a change or addition, please re-send the entire work, not just the changed portion.

Attribution: When identifying someone you have interviewed (apart from a professional), please include full name or if, in some cases, we need to protect privacy, first name and last initial or first name only. We also like to include a city name or regional area (Tucson, San Francisco area, New England). If you change a name to protect privacy, please add a note to the end of the piece so we may add a disclaimer.

Quotes: Please do not change quotes. If it is in quotation marks, we understand that to mean that those exact words were spoken (or typed) by the subject. If need be, use quotes creatively with subtext (for example, to overcome a grammatical error), paraphrase, or request a new quote or clarification from the subject. Replacement text in brackets to identify a subject or to help present a change of perspective are acceptable.

Bio: Be sure to include an author’s bio with your work. This is usually 10-50 words letting our readers know a little more about you. If you personally or professionally have a particular passion for your topic, this is nice to mention, as is your general location. You may also include your email address and/or URL, although this may or may not be included in the final bio, at our discretion.
